Thomas Edig is not only an inspiring leader, but also a role model for modern leadership that is people-oriented, based on trust and promotes passion, personal responsibility and collaboration. In times of upheaval, he supplemented general management tools with people-centered leadership skills. His exceptional leadership enabled Volkswagen to successfully transform the Zwickau site into an electric vehicle production facility.
The profiles of our award winners make the German Leadership Award the most authentic leadership award in Germany after 10 years. The German Leadership Award particularly reflects the leadership challenges of the next generation of excellent engineers and scientists who are preparing for leadership roles.
For the Collège as a European institution, the international dimension of leadership is a major challenge. The rapidly growing importance of AI is bringing us into a new era.
